1.1.Location, economy and trade
Estonia is located on the Baltic Sea, with links to Scandinavia, Poland and the Baltic states. Its economy is small, open and digital, combining services with export manufacturing. In day-to-day operations, the strongest concentration of demand is around: Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu, Narwa, Muuga.
Trade is particularly connected with the following markets: Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Germany and Lithuania. For transport, recurring industrial and distribution flows to and from the main economic hubs are the key factor.
The currency is the euro (EUR); in the euro area since 2011. Always confirm the exchange rate before pricing freight, tolls or ancillary costs.
