1.1.Location, economy and trade
Czechia is located in Central Europe, close to the EU’s main industrial corridors. Its economy is strongly export-oriented, based on industry, services and EU linkages. In day-to-day operations, the strongest concentration of demand is around: Praga, Brno, Ostrawa, Pilzno, Ołomuniec.
Trade is particularly connected with the following markets: Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Austria and France. For transport, recurring industrial and distribution flows to and from the main economic hubs are the key factor.
The currency is the Czech koruna (CZK); introduced in 1993; Czechia is not in the euro area. Always confirm the exchange rate before pricing freight, tolls or ancillary costs.
