1.1.Location, economy and trade
Croatia is located on the Adriatic, at the junction of the EU market and the Western Balkans. Its economy is combining tourism, manufacturing and Adriatic logistics. In day-to-day operations, the strongest concentration of demand is around: Zagrzeb, Rijeka, Split, Osijek, Ploče.
Trade is particularly connected with the following markets: Italy, Germany, Slovenia, Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina. For transport, recurring industrial and distribution flows to and from the main economic hubs are the key factor.
The currency is the euro (EUR); in the euro area since 2023. Always confirm the exchange rate before pricing freight, tolls or ancillary costs.
